Muzakarah Jawatankuasa Fatwa Majlis Kebangsaan Bagi Hal Ehwal Ugama Islam Malaysia memutuskan setiap minuman arak ada kandungan ALKOHOL tetapi BUKAN SEMUA ALKOHOL itu ARAK.

Sekiranya ALKOHOL itu ARAK maka hukumnya HARAM. Contoh PEWANGI & UBAT-UBATAN yang mengandungi ALKOHOL adalah tidak najis dan DIHARUSKAN JIKA ALKOHOL tersebut BUKAN diambil melalui proses pembuatan ARAK.
